a classic night scene in the streets of Lisbon: the tram through the narrow streets under the light of lampposts
Gear does not matter.
It really does not.
When you join our walks, just come with whatever camera you like to carry around, be it a mirrorless, a DSLR, a good old analogue camera or a smartphone. As they say: 'the best camera is the one you have with you.'
This said, and should it be interest, here's my current choice of cameras:
- when shooting 35mm film, I use an Olympus OM-1n, a beautiful and robust classic, with a 50-mm lens.
- I switched from Canon to Fujifilm when I decided to go mirrorless. I first bought a Fujifilm X-T1 but i found the electronic viewfinder a bit taxing on the eye. I returned to the Canon 6D for a while but couldn't resist the call: I got a Fujifilm X-T3 which i've used a lot over the years. I currently own a Fujifilm X-T50, which is slightly smaller than the X-T3 but packs a lot of power. Most of the time, I use the Fujifilm XF 16-55mm (ƒ/2.8), a high-quality zoom that covers all my daily needs. When I want the gear to be lighter and smaller, i use a Fujifilm pancake lens
